Thank you to Renhold V.C. Primary School Art Club for sharing their amazing Christmas Art work to help decorate our Church.



COVID 19 PREVENTION

Face coverings are required in our church buildings.  In addition we ask everyone to  use hand sanitizer on arrival and follow the social distancing measures in place. If you feel unwell, please stay at home and join us virtually on our Facebook page. With so many COVID cases in our area we have decided not to sreve refreshments after our services for the next few weeks. We will review all our measures regularly.We wish everyone a safe and healthy New Year.


REMEMBER IN YOUR PRAYERS THIS WEEK

We pray for those who are sick,  especially Geoff B and  Sheila D, and those who care for the sick.

We remember in our prayers, those in our community who are in assisted accommodation, especially Sally.

We pray for those who have died recently, Ruth Bartlett-Morle, Andrew Seager-Smith and Shiela Gladding,may they Rest in Peace. We remember those whose anniversary falls at this time.

Rev’d Ian and Christine would like to thank everyone for their generosity, love and prayers as they have been isolating and unwell with COVID 19. Thanks too for those that have stepped in to cover services and tasks during this time. Rev’d David Powell will lead services on Sunday 23rd January and Rev’d Clifford Bradley on Sunday 30th.


FUNERAL OF RUTH BARTLETT-MORLE

Ruths funeral will be held at All Saints’ Church, Renhold at 12 noon on Monday 7th February. Ruth was a long standing member of our congregation having served in roles on the PCC and as sacristan. Ruth will be greatly missed by many, our prayers are with her family. May she Rest in Peace.


FOOD BANK AND OTHER DONATIONS

Thank you to everyone who has donated to the foodbank. We also delivered all the mince pies donated for the Carol Service  in time to be shared for Christmas when the refreshments had to be cancelled.


Bedford Food Bank Donations – items urgently needed (Please leave these in the container at the rear of the Church):  UHT Milk, Fruit Juice (Longlife), Tinned Tuna, Tinned Fruit, Rice 125g/250g/500g, Ham (Small Tins), Jars of Pasta sauce, tinned peas/carrots/sweetcorn, teabags (40/80),tinned tomatoes, soap bars, washing up liquid, tinned meat stews - Thank you for your continued generosity


REQUEST FROM BEDS & LUTON EMERGENCY VOLUNTEERS EXEC COMMITTEE (BLEVEC)

BLEVEC are looking for volunteers willing to be called upon to support the NHS hospitals in an emergency, should current staffing situation worsen. Volunteers would need to be double vaccinated, trained to work in hospitals, DBS checked and have completed safeguarding training. They are also interested in people who don’t meet the criteria but who would be willing to be trained and vetted.  Please email cass.howes@beds.ac.uk or telephone 07920 849742












We also continue to support SMART in support of the homeless. During the Pandemic clients were moved into accommodation for their health and safety with government support. SMART are seeking financial support to continue this work. We invite you to make a personal financial donation to SMART Prebend

Almighty God and Father,

We lift before you all those involved in the consultation process over the Oxford to Cambridge Rail Link, the government and local authorities,

We lift before you the communities that will be affected by their decisions and we pray that individuals that may have different views and opinions will continue to live together in harmony.

May your Church bring peace and reconciliation where there is potential for strife and conflict.

We ask these things in the name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Saviour, Amen.
